At first, the public didn't quite know what to think.

People hear the words "Boycott" and "School" in the same sentence and the knee-jerk reaction is to detest the message.

It's important to realize that NONE of these so called "Tattoo Schools" are accredited institutions of learning. In many cases, the "teachers" have not been tattooing for more than a year. Most of them aren't even sanctioned by the board of health and public safety. They fly outside of city limits, opening their locations where there are no health board regulations, so they can prey on potential "students", and fill their pockets without fear of prosecution.
